" Deep colour. Intense dark plum roasted chestnut/coffee aromas with some dark chocolate notes. Richly textured wine with attractive deep set plum liquorice flavours, praline notes, fine plentiful tannins and integrated savoury mocha oak. Finishes firm and inky. Tasted at the Union des Grands Crus. "

" Dark fruity nose. Wine is dense, tight and comes denser, it’s tannic, it gets more personality and freshness. Nice violet notes finish "

" Tasty fruits, beautiful breeding, ripe tannin, beautiful balance. Great potential. "

" This has a dark and convincing hue. I get dark and sweet fruit on the nose, with a black cherry liqueur, a cherry-leaf freshness too though, with a little oaky vanillin frame to it. The palate is full of roasted black bean, black olive, dried blackcurrant and juniper, with a sweet ripeness countered by a dry, savoury, ripe but correct tannic backbone. A very fresh character, pure and bright, with energy, a soft acid lift, and a fine, taut, gripped finish as well. The finish shows a rolling bed of soft and ripe tannin, and some fine fruit. I suspect it will drink sooner than some wines, but this is still an impressive Larmande. "

" Part of the Château Soutard stable, this takes its time in the glass but opens up very beautifully. Rich, deep flavours with a liquorice note. This is an estate that is quietly turning out good quality and often good value wines. "

" Dark, intense and purple color. Medium aromatic nose, fruity, floral and subtle. Delicate and particularly fruity palate. Then the wine melts at the palate, juicy, tasty with great taste. Good fine grain finish. Deliciously floral and creamy. This is the second year that Larmande performs as well. Congratulations! Good length. "

" A soft, approachable Larmande with dark plums and cherries. The tannins are ripe and well handled, not to aggressive but still firm. Already open and ready to enjoy with nice acidity and freshness. "

" The 2016 Larmande has a clean and pure bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, more detailed and focused than some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well judged acidity, harmonious and focused with a long, persistent and very pure finish. This is a lovely Larmande that is going to give a lot of pleasure. "

" Cherry and chocolate on the nose. It is full bodied with soft fruits, firm tannins, classic structure, dry finish. "
Rene Gabriel

" Nice and engaging fresh nose, fairly springy. The palate is light and straight, balanced, it is a wine of beautiful structure that should evolve with grace. "

" Barrel Sample. This juicy wine offers notes of spice on the nose and mouth, as well as firm tannins and a generous character on the palate. It is solidly structured, though the ripe fruit flavors offers some cushion. "

" Purple purplish. Intense bouquet, complex and fruity. Black cherries, cinnamon, blackberries and prunes. Attack fond and silky. Creamy body, elegant, juicy and fruity. A wine marked by fruit and elegant tannins well integrated. Finish juicy. "

" The nose is fruity, elegant, tasty, and offers a nice depth and a finesse of the aromas. We find blackberry, blackcurrant and raspberry notes, mixed with grey pepper, spices, flowers (iris), and vanilla. The mouth is fruity, tasty, elegant and shows a full-bodied wine with density, finesse, and tightness. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry and blackcurrant, mixed with liquorice, woody, toasted aromas. Background of Bourbon vanilla. A nice delicate and balanced wine. Tannins are soft. Good length. "
